MISSIONS
METRO
Our heartbeat is to equip sending churches to be the most effective for God's Kingdom that they can be by providing networking opportunities, resources, and access to the best practitioners.
HISTORY.
The very first Missions Metro was held in the year 2000. It was launched by Al Philips, Steve Marcum, Doug Sarver, and Ken Winter. From those humble beginnings and their great vision, it has grown to over 120 different mission pastors coming together each January in different major cities across the US.

MISSION.
The heartbeat behind Missions Metro is to equip sending churches. We are more than 120 mission pastors from some of the top sending Southern Baptist Churches in the country that come together each year to network with each other, learn from one another, and encourage our fellow brothers and sisters who do the hard work of mobilizing people to fulfill the Great Commission in their local churches week in and week out.
VISION.
As we continue to grow, we hope to be a continual resource, not just for the few days each year that we gather, but increasingly all year through this website and other means.
PARTNERS.
We could not do what we do without the partnerships of our two Southern Baptist entities: the International Mission Board and the North American Mission Board.
